Rules of the game

RULERULE EXPLANATION
GENERAL RULESAs far as possible rules follow KNVB football rules. Play nice, most of us have to study or work tomorrow. Winner team will receive a trophy.
ELIGIBILITY OF PLAYERSAt least 70% of the team players shall hold the nationality of its nation and be subject to its jurisdiction. This is reduced to 60% when the team captain holds the nationality of its nation. Each participating nation shall be responsible throughout the preliminary competition for the conduct of all accreditation-bearing players.
ORGANISING COMMITTEEThe Organising Committee is amongst others responsible for supervising the organisation of the NATIONS CUP™ preliminary competition in accordance with the KNVB rules and additional rules agreed.

The decisions taken by the Organising Committee are final and binding.
GROUP STAGEIn the group stage, the ranking in each group is determined as follows:
1. greatest number of points obtained in all group matches;
2. goal difference in all group matches;
3. Head to head;
4. greatest number of goals scored in all group matches
DRAW IN KNOCKOUT STAGEIf the score is still level, penalty kicks shall be taken to determine the winner. In the event of a tie during the final phase, the winner will be decided by a penalty shootout (5 per team).
VIOLENCE IS NOT PERMITTEDViolence is never accepted and punishments range from long suspensions to permanent exclusion depending on the offence.
BALLSEach team must bring size 5 football balls. If there are no balls to play the match, the “home team” looses the match.
PUNCTUALITY (Teams)If your team is 5min late to the game, you will start the match loosing 1-0. If your team is 5-10 min late to the game, you will start the match loosing 2-0. If your team is 10-15 min late to the game, you will loose the match (3-0).
REFEREEINGThe players agree in particular to respect the spirit of fair play, non-violence and the authority of the match officials. The decisions of the referees are final and not subject to appeal.
DOPINGRefrain from doping as defined by the FIFA Anti-Doping Regulations
DISPUTESAll disputes in connection with the competition shall be promptly settled by negotiation. Protests shall be submitted in writing within two 24 hours of the match in question, otherwise they shall be disregarded. No protests may be made about the referee’s decisions regarding facts connected with play.
