RULE | RULE EXPLANATION |
GENERAL RULES | As far as possible rules follow KNVB football rules. Play nice, most of us have to study or work tomorrow. Winner team will receive a trophy. |
KICK OFF STARTS FROM THE SPOT | Each kick off will be from the centre spot (Home team kicks first); the ball is permitted to go backwards or forwards. |
UNLIMITED SUBSTITUTIONS | You can only make a sub when the ball is out of play (Free Kick, Penalty, ball leaves the field, or during a substitution already called). |
SIN BIN | If a player plays rough, he or she will receive a warning. If this happens again the referee may decide to give him a yellow card. All yellow cards will be punished with a 3 minute sin bin, 2 yellow cards = a red and the player will be sent off. |
RED CARDS | A player who receives a red card is prohibited in participating in their next game. If a team receives 2 red cards then the match is stopped and they forfeit. Bad fouls are punished with a red card. |
NO METAL STUDS | Bladed studs or metal tipped boots are not allowed. |
SHIN PADS | Shin pads are strongly recommended to avoid injuries – Players play at their own risk. |
IT’S A 12 MIN GAME | The match will consist of 12 minutes |
FREE KICKS | All free kicks are direct with exception of the ball leaving the field of play. Players must be 2 metres away from a free kick. If the free kick is within 2 metres of the goal area then it shall be moved back to 2 metres from the area. |
GOALKEEPERS | Keepers are allowed out of their box. Backpasses may not be handled by the keeper. Keepers may slide as long as it isn’t dangerous. |
SLIDING TACKLES | A sliding tackle when a player is nearby that isn’t a foul is punished by an indirect free kick. A slide tackle that is also a foul or is dangerous is punished by a direct free kick (or a penalty if inside the area). |
BALL THAT GOES OUT OF THE FIELD | The ball stays in the game unless the ball goes out through the air over the net. If the ball leaves the field of play then when it is returned the game is restarted by the goalkeeper with an indirect free kick against the team that last touched the ball. If the keeper plays the ball out of the field in the making of a save or block then he receives the ball back. If he plays it out when making a pass then the opposing keeper receives the ball. |
VIOLENCE IS NOT PERMITTED | Violence is never accepted and punishments range from long suspensions to permanent exclusion depending on the offence. |
PENALTIES | The keeper must be on the line for a penalty. The penalty taker may only take 1 step before striking the ball. |
BALLS | Each team must bring size 5 football balls. If there are no balls to play the match, the “home team” looses the match. |
OFFSIDE | No offsides |
PUNCTUALITY (Teams) | If your team is 5min late to the game, you will start the match loosing 1-0. If your team is 5-10 min late to the game, you will start the match loosing 2-0. If your team is 10-15 min late to the game, you will loose the match (3-0). |
OUT OF THE FIELD – PlayersHome
The ball is “OUT OF THE FIELD” when it hits the top net or the net behind the goal. It is considered to be inside the field if it hits the barriers and side nets. The image above serves as an easy reference.
