Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for Participation in The Nations Cup 

By registering for or participating in the The Nations Cup (hereafter referred to as “the Tournament”), all participants, teams, and spectators agree to comply with the following terms and conditions: 

1. General Information
1.1. The Tournament is organized by The Nations Cup NL (hereafter referred to as “the Organizer”). 
1.2. The Organizer reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated via the official Tournament website or email.

2. Eligibility 
2.1. Participation is open to players aged 18 and above. 
2.2. Each team must register in advance and submit a completed registration form along with the registration fee. 
2.3. Players may only participate in one team during the Tournament’s group phase. Players may only participate in one team during the Tournament’s final phase.
2.4. The Organizer reserves the right to reject any registration at its discretion. 

3. Registration and Fees
3.1. Registration fees are refundable if the Tournament is canceled by the Organizer (see Refund Policy). 
3.2. Registration is considered complete only upon receipt of full payment and submission of all required information. 
3.3. Deadlines for registration and fee payment will be strictly enforced.

4. Data Protection and GDPR Compliance
4.1. By registering for the Tournament, participants consent to the processing of their personal data for purposes related to the organization and management of the Tournament. 
4.2. Personal data collected may include names, contact information, team details, and any other relevant information. 
4.3. Data will be processed in accordance with the Organizer’s Privacy Policy and applicable GDPR regulations. 
4.4. Participants have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their data at any time by contacting contact@thenationscup.org
4.5. Cookies may be used on the Tournament website to improve the user experience. For details, refer to our Cookies Policy

5. Tournament Rules
5.1. The Tournament will follow the KNVB football rules and the Organizer’s rules uploaded at ‘rules of the game’ section (make sure you check all sub-pages).
5.2. Game durations, team formations, and other specific rules will be outlined in the Tournament guidelines provided before the event. 
5.3. Unsportsmanlike behavior, including physical or verbal abuse, discrimination, or cheating, may result in immediate disqualification of the player or team. 
5.4. Decisions made by referees or Tournament officials are final and binding. 

6. Liability and Safety
6.1. The Organizer will not be held liable for damages or injuries except in cases of gross negligence or intent.
6.2. Participants are responsible for their own insurance coverage, including personal liability and health insurance. 
6.3. The Organizer will take reasonable steps to ensure the safety and security of participants but cannot guarantee a risk-free environment. 

7. Code of Conduct
7.1. All participants and spectators are expected to behave respectfully and follow instructions from Tournament staff. 
7.2. Any form of harassment, abuse, or disruption may result in removal from the Tournament premises without refund. 

8. Media and Marketing 
8.1. By participating in the Tournament, players and teams grant the Organizer the right to use photos, videos, and other media from the event for promotional purposes. 
8.2. Participants may opt out of media usage by notifying the Organizer in writing prior to the event. 

9. Cancellations and Changes 
9.1. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the Tournament for any reason, including but not limited to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.
9.2 The Organizer is not liable for delays or modifications due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or government restrictions.

10. Governing Law 
10.1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of The Netherlands. 
10.2. Any legal disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Amsterdam.
